Red Lips Unlike You’ve Ever Seen Them Before:

Red lips is usually a trend seen exclusively on the Autumn/Winter catwalks however this year the look has made it’s way onto many major Spring/Summer runways from Oscar de la Renta to Jason Wu. However the difference this time is it is a way less intense look. Think strawberry lip stain rather than full on fire-engine red lipstick to perfectly achieve this look.

80’s Blue:

The cult classic makeup trend has made it’s way back onto catwalks for Spring/Summer 2016. The look has been modernised as a blunt blue lid, as opposed to the 80’s smoked out blue extravaganza. And good news for all our brown-eyed-beauties out there, blue shadow is a sure fire way to make those eyes pop. Our favourite two looks above were from the Boss and Missoni catwalks.

The bronzed goddess look comes up on Spring/Summer catwalks year after year. However this year there was a difference. The look was kept minimal with barely any other makeup, keeping the bronzed up skin the main attraction. The perfect summer ‘no makeup’ makeup look, this one will definitely be one of our everyday, go-to looks. Gigi Hadid perfectly epitomises the laid-back look on the Tommy Hilfiger runway.

After all the dark smokey eyes and deep berry lips of the winter, this look is just what we needed. A breathe of fresh air makeup-wise, this look is all about keeping things young. To achieve this look keep your base light, and not too heavy on the lips or eyebrows. Add a wash of your favourite pastel hue to your lids to give your look that cute summertime twist. We can’t get enough of this lilac eye seen on the Jill Stuart runway.

Lashes, Lashes, Lashes:

Mascara is a bit of a guilty pleasure for us in the studio so you can imagine our delight when we saw lashes making their return to catwalks in a major way this season. On the whole mascara has been very minimal on runways in the past couple of years, with the major focus being on put on lips and skin. This season however, major statement lashes were seen cropping up on catwalks in New York, London and Paris. And good news for the pushed-for-time amongst us, the clumpier the better!
