MAC launched Retro Matte Liquid Lip Colour and my god they have gone down a storm.
These suede finish lip colours mean business and do not move! The colour payoff is excellent too with these babies lasting through numerous meals.
Although we love a matte lipstick here at EF Creative Studios, they can be extremely drying on the lips which causes flakiness which doesn’t look great. You will need to add balm through the day to combat this but it won’t affect the longevity of the lip colour which is a bonus. This type of lipstick is more for hard core lippie fans.
The application process can be a bit tricky however. It’s easier to put it on with a lip brush so you can get a perfectly line. The pigment is amazing, so if you make a mistake you will need to fix it…fairly quickly.
They are very similar to Rimmel Apocolips matte, even down to consistency. So if you were a fan of those you’ll love these and the colours are spectacular.
