Too Pale Lips:
What was it about the early 00’s that made us want to have our lips a whole six shades lighter than our skin tone? From young school girls to your Mam’s best friend it seemed everyone was getting in on the white lip action. The frostier the better.
Too Much Bronzer:
If you looked like you were about to pass out from sun-stroke or put the Tango man out of business then you weren’t bronzed enough. And your white blonde hair is getting dirty from your fluorescent coloured face? No worries, just blend that on in, you’ve always wanted ginger hair after all.
Skinny Eyebrows:
The bad makeup trend that probably haunts women the most is the razor thin eyebrow trend. And I don’t mean haunt our thoughts, a lot of women are now living through the aftermath of over-plucking as a teen. If we could have one piece of advice for any younger reader it would be for the love of God, please put the tweezers down.
Huge False Lashes:
During Jordan’s hey-day you weren’t anyone if your fake eyelashes couldn’t also multi-task to sweep the kitchen floor. The bigger the better, even if it meant you could barely keep your eyes open. The phrase ‘heavy eyelids’ has taken on a whole new meaning.
Bad Contouring:
A more recent of the crazy makeup trends, contouring recently took on a whole new meaning. Now don’t get us wrong, we love hiding that double chin as much as the next girl. But this trend took it to a whole new level. If you didn’t look like a sugar-skull at one point throughout the process, you were doing it wrong.
